Panola College's Kinesiology Department provides 1-hour transferable physical activity
classes that promote lifetime fitness skills. Three-hour academic classes are offered
for students pursuing a degree in kinesiology and coaching and include First Aid,
Sports Officiating, Foundations of Kinesiology, Prevention & Care of Athletic Injuries,
Personal/Community Health, and Coaching/Sports/Athletics I. Several KINE courses are
offered online.
Being physically active means strengthening one's cognitive processes and sharpening
one's skills as a result of activity. Activity is also is a great way to keep the
body in shape and help it fend off illness while keeping a healthy weight and maintaining
a healthy lifestyle.
