CIT Mission Statement

Department of Computer Information Technology Panola College is dedicated to providing excellent education in the areas of computer science and information technology. This mission is accomplished by offering an Associate of Applied Science degree in computer Information Technology as well as the following certificates: Microcomputer Software Operator, Microcomputer Support Specialist, Personal Computer Technical Support, and Digital Media Design and Development.

The Computer Science Division at Panola College is committed to providing state-of-the-art technological training in the computer, secretarial, and health information fields. With the help of advisory committees of highly-qualified business and industrial leaders, the Computer Science department is dedicated to offering the training needed by regional employers. The curriculum includes the latest versions of the most widely used productivity software. Also included is instruction on topics such as help desk support, hardware, multimedia, and web page design.
