Mission of the M.P. Baker Library
The purpose of the M. P. Baker Library of Panola College is to be an academic Learning
Resource Center for the students and faculty of the College. The LRC staff strives
to offer resources and services, when and where they are needed, to enhance the development
of the whole student, and to offer opportunities for students to become lifelong learners.

Resources
Information is provided through a variety of formats. You will find print and electronic
books, newspapers, magazines, journals, archival items, reserve items, reference works,
movies, computers, printers, Wi-Fi, and copiers.
Services
Your library is proud to be a member of TexShare, a program offered and supported
by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission. This program allows us to offer
interlibrary loan and library card service to other Texas libraries. We also provide
instruction and assistance with using the library’s resources, monthly gallery exhibits, and lunchbox lectures through the year.
Spaces
The library provides both study spaces and social spaces. There are 6 study rooms,
2 conference rooms, a computer classroom, leisurely reading areas, study tables, and
an open computer lab.

Spring Semester Library Hours (January 13, 2019 - May 09, 2019)
Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 9:00pm
Friday: 7:30am - 12:30pm
Saturday: closed
Sunday: 4:00pm - 9:00pm
March 10-16, 2019: Library closed for Spring Break
April 19-21, 2019: Library closed for Good Friday/Easter Holiday
Study rooms and computers close 15 minutes prior to the rest of the library.
