Feed the Need comfort closet program provided through donations to Panola College for active Panola College students and staff who may be experiencing basic living insecurities. Students must present an active Panola College I.D. to obtain these items. Our hope is that providing this service to the Panola College Community will help our students be more successful while pursuing their education.

(Students may only request a emergency need gift card once per semester. Gift Cards are valued at $50 each)
What is it?
The Student Emergency Relief Walmart Gift Cards are to assists Panola College students by providing financial support to students who have emergency needs arise during the semester. These funds are not intended to replace personal funds that may be available, financial aid, insurance coverage, or other funds for which you may be eligible. This is a one-time gift card to assist students in successfully completing their semester at Panola College.
EXPENSES COVERED BY THE EMERGENCY FUND
The needs addressed by this fund are usually urgent, non-recurring, and involve relatively
small costs. (Below is a non-exhaustive list of expenses covered by the emergency fund.)
- Transportation-related to academic needs
- Food and/or hygiene items
- Technology needs and other academic supply needs
- Medications and other costs related to medical care and safety needs
EXPENSES NOT COVERED BY THE EMERGENCY FUND
- Non-essential utilities (i.e. cable TV), household, or furniture costs
- Costs for entertainment, recreation, non-emergency travel or other non-essential expenses
- Loan payments; including car loan, mortgages, and student loans
