The Ray and Adelyn Coldwell Duke Scholarship was established in 1998 by the Duke family. This scholarship honors Mrs. Duke, who taught at Panola College from 1948 to 1951, and her husband, the late Ray Duke, who was a manager of the Beall’s store for many years. Mr. Duke was a native of Panola County. The scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving sophomore student at Panola College.
