The Jonathan Dockery Memorial Scholarship was established by the Roberts and Dockery families in 2006.

Jonathan Christopher Dockery was born on March 31, 1987 in Omaha, Nebraska. He attended elementary and middle school in Coppell, Texas and was a 2005 graduate of Jefferson High School in Jefferson, Texas.

Jonathan was killed in an automobile accident in September of 2005, shortly after enrolling in Texas State Technical College in Marshall, Texas. Although his college career was cut short, his dream was to become an architect. He enjoyed snowboarding and playing soccer, baseball, and lacrosse. Jonathan was a compassionate and loving person who never passed up the opportunity to help someone in need, volunteering many hours of community service.

The Jonathan Dockery Memorial Scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving graduate of Jefferson High School. The selection and announcement naming the recipient will be made in the spring each year.
