The James A. and Evelyn Duchesne Sharp Scholarship was established in 1991 by James and Evelyn Sharp. The Sharps endowed the scholarship through a joint effort with the Matching Gift Plan of the Oryx Energy Company. This is the second scholarship that the Sharps have helped create at Panola College. The scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving sophomore student who will attend Panola College.
