The First State Bank and Trust Company Scholarship was established in 2006 by the First State Bank & Trust Company in Carthage. Preference will be given to employees of First State Bank & Trust Co., their spouses, and dependents. If no one applies who meets these qualifications, the scholarship will be awarded to a sophomore student who is a resident of Panola County. The scholarship will be awarded annually.
