The Dr. W.C. and Eugenia Smith Endowed Scholarship was established in 1999 upon Dr. Smith’s retirement from 50 years of medical practice in Panola County. The scholarship was endowed by numerous friends, colleagues, and corporations in appreciation of Dr. and Mrs. Smith’s lifetime of service to the people of Panola County. The scholarship is awarded annually to a deserving sophomore student who attends Panola College.
