The C. Applegate Memorial Scholarship was established in 1996 in memory of Mr. C. Applegate by his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Dorothy Applegate. Applegate was an educator and newspaper editor. The scholarship will be awarded annually to a deserving journalism student planning to attend Panola College.
