College’s Phi Theta Kappa chapter holds annual induction

The Panola College chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, Pi Beta, proudly celebrated its annual induction ceremony on March 13, 2025, in the Frances B. Ross Ballroom of the Charles C. Matthews Foundation Student Center. The event featured a musical performance from the Panola Pipers and a speech by Don Cocklin, former professor of psychology at Panola College.

Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society serves to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through honors, leadership, and service programming. To be eligible for PTK membership, students must have a GPA of 3.5 or above and have completed a minimum of 12 transferable hours through Panola College.

Inductees for 2025 include Ellie Anglin, Greyson Arwine, Eric Blackman, Savannah Bertolis, Taylor Dixon, Nicolas Dsouza, Jackson Glymph, Jackson Griffin, Paola Hernandez, Kane Hale, Mariah Jernigan, Jordan Light, Jenna Lowry, Riley Minter, America Olvera, Austin Powell, Darren Cale Preston, Jonas Prewitt, Mariana Salgado, James Shaub, Brody Slaten, Bailey Spears, Katherine Blair Thompson, and Judson Woodfin.
