Panola College students selected to perform in All-State Choir

Eight Panola College chorale students were selected to perform in the 2023 Texas Two-Year College All-State Choir in San Antonio, which will take place in February.

The octet will perform under the baton of Dr. Craig Jessop, whose resume includes serving as the music director of the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, and head of the Department of Music at Utah State University.

“I am extremely proud of these musicians and all they have accomplished,” said Sandra Bauer, director of choral activities at Panola College. “They have worked incredibly hard for this honor.”

The students selected to perform are Matthew Blankenship, bass; Valerie Cantu, alto; Abigail Cawthon, soprano; Ari’Anna Cole, soprano; Olivia Hankamer, alto; Liam Holloway, tenor; Corey Trotter, tenor; and Alex Wohllaib, baritone.
