College hosts high school FFA competition

Panola College hosted the Longview District FFA contest on Nov. 8, bringing approximately 500 visitors to the Carthage campus. Students from 16 school districts attended the event, including Beckville, Carthage, Gary, Gladewater, Henderson, Jefferson, Kilgore, Laneville, Longview, Marshall, Mt. Enterprise, Overton, Sabine, Tatum, Waskom, and White Oak.

“The School of Energy was proud to host this leadership conference on our Carthage campus,” said Daniel Hall, the Chair of the School of Energy at Panola College. “A number of contests were conducted, from agriculture skills to radio broadcasting. It was a successful event and we look forward to next year.”
