Theatre from the Greek word theatron meaning the “seeing place.”
Theatre is meant to be seen and experienced. Attending live performances is the best way for students to appreciate the art form. Panola College offers preview night for all secondary and higher-education students. The cost to attend is $1.00. Teachers, professors, bus drivers, and chaperons attend for free. Each preview features a talk-back with the cast, crew, and director. Study guides will be provided.
Proceeds from the preview nights fund scholarships and community expenditure items. This year’s proceed will purchase a new UIL OAP set complete with left/right doors, French doors, window units, and a canvas-covered elements such as the platforms, steps, ramps, etc.
Call or email theatre department to reserve seats.
