STUDENTS WHO START AT PANOLA EXCELRecently Dr. Trauth, President of Southwest Texas State University (SWT), sent Dr. Gregory Powell,
President of Panola College, a report regarding students who transferred to SWT in the fall of 2001.
Dr. Trauth reported that Panola College transfers, after one year at SWT, earned an average of
28 semester credit hours with a 3.10 GPA. This exceeds the figures for all 2-year college student
transfers who earned an average of 20 semester credit hours with a 2.56 GPA.
“The report from SWT is further confirmation of the outstanding education provided at Panola College.
