Canvas Student FAQs
Use your full campus email address. If you don't know your campus email address, find it in your CampusConnect account.
Your default password is your six digit student ID number.
Email your instructor within Canvas.
Contact the eLearning office for assistance. Email email@example.com or call 903-693-2004.
If you have just registered it will take a few hours for your course to appear in Canvas. If you do not see your course after a few hours, contact the eLearning office.
You will need to ask your instructor for permission to test at a remote testing center or at another college or university.
Make sure you are on the page where you are having the error and click on the Help link in the upper right-hand corner of Canvas.
Canvas supports the latest versions of most major web browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer. If you are using a recommended browser and still can't see your images, submit a Canvas help ticket.
In the upper right-hand corner of your Canvas page click the link "Profile". Then click the Edit Profile link. Check the Change Password box, then you will be prompted to enter your new password.
Click the "Inbox" link to bring up your email. In the to box, select your instructor (or type his/her name) and compose your message. This will send the email to your instructor only.
Your instructor may give you extra attempts. Refer to your syllabus for his/her policy. To ask your instructor, you have to send an email within Canvas.
